LUMÉCEL

The regenerative medicine cell therapy program of Etonne Plastic Surgery
Awakening the body's own power to recover
Your body has the power to repair and restore itself: its own capacity to heal.
REGENERATIVE
ETONNE
What the name Lumécel means
Lumécel is the regenerative medicine cell therapy program of Etonne Plastic Surgery. The name carries the idea of awakening cells with light and temperature, and the program helps the body build an environment in which it can recover on its own.
How does the body recover?
Recovery begins with the "signals" between cells and the "environment" in which those signals can get through.
Our cells are constantly exchanging signals with one another, and when the surrounding tissue is in a condition to respond to those signals, the body repairs damaged areas on its own. At the center of this signaling are growth factors.

Regenerative medicine supports the body's own recovery process by reinforcing both these signals and the environment in which they can get through.
WHY REGENERATIVE
Why regenerative medicine?
Because aging is the process by which recovery can no longer keep pace with damage.
COMPARISON
| Category | Conventional approach | Lumécel regenerative medicine |
|---|---|---|
| Direction | Directly supplements the damaged area | Draws on the body's own capacity to recover |
| Goal | Focuses on filling in what is lacking | Focuses on improving the tissue environment |
| How recovery happens | Adds change from the outside | Supports the recovery process within the body |
Aging is not only a change in how we look. Damage accumulates every day, but the speed at which the body repairs it gradually slows. As cells lose vitality, collagen production declines and the tissue environment around the cells changes, the body's capacity to recover on its own begins to dull.

Lumécel cell therapy does not stop at temporarily filling in what is lacking. Its aim is to improve the environment in which the body can recover on its own.
Our promise
A treatment we could not recommend to our own family, we do not recommend to our patients.
Etonne is bringing Lumécel cell therapy to the forefront now not because it is a new technology. It is because, over the many years we have worked with it, sufficient evidence has accumulated, and we have concluded that it can help change our patients' lives for the better.

The doctors who lead Etonne studied medicine at a time when expectations that regenerative medicine would become the center of future medicine were at their height. From then on, they have continued to work with cell therapy based on cells obtained from a patient's own fat, both in practice and in research. Yet the reality they encountered over more than 20 years of treating patients directly did not change as quickly as those expectations. That is why we did not promote this treatment loudly.
Over those 20-odd years, the technology and the evidence have clearly changed. Preconditioning techniques that prepare cells in a better state have matured, methods of delivering those cells directly to where they are needed have become possible, and meaningful clinical results have steadily accumulated.
Etonne is a clinic rooted in plastic surgery. Plastic surgery is the medicine of form, but making a form look younger and making the tissue itself younger are two different things. We believe that what patients truly want is not a younger-looking face, but a healthier and more vital life.
